I’ve been unhappy with my old front valance for some time now. The extra valance width of the last generation XJ40s looks too much like a cheap attempt to make a fine luxury car look like a NASCAR. I’m thinking about an early XJ40 valance, with its less “upright” attitude…modified to incorporate modern fog lights. Thoughts?

 

First off, I like that pic. Nice one.
Second, looking at my 92, the valance is pretty much the same but that the fogs are bolted to the bumper as stock. Not sure you'd gain much appearance- wise.
Third, (and this is MY Opinion) I don't think the little round lights really contribute to the squared off blockiness of the car as a whole. Maybe there's a rectangle LED you could use?
Just my thoughts. It's yours, do what you like!
