1973 XJ6 Wipers Stuck "On" low
As in the title! I have searched around but haven't had much luck troubleshooting the issue. I have the workshop manuals, aside from unplugging the motor or removing fuse 3 I haven't had any luck disabling them.
Have checked all connections on back of switch and wire brushed the contacts on the motor itself.
Thanks !

My experience is with S III as well, but you can remove the switch fairly easily. Get the switch wiring diagram and a multimeter to check continuity at the different switch settings. In my experience, the wiper switch is very prone to problems. But usually they don't work rather than work all the time.

Be sure to see Doug's excellent write-up on how to easily remove the wiper switch entitled "Windshield wiper park switch". In my experience, the upper part of the clamshell around the switches is hard to get out but with the lower half off you can wiggle the top half over a bit to get the wiper switch out. There are instructions out there on rebuilding the switch.
