LOL! Yes, we were talking about that during the color sanding and buffing. In purpose we left some 'orange peel' at the surface since these cars were not completely flat. Thanks Again!!

Been away for a while, it's inspiring to see this level of craftsmanship. It looks like you've pulled every small bracket and bolt and nickel plated them all.

Would love to see your other projects as well and learn from your work, sending FB request

Hey Debbie, how are things progressing. We were so enjoying seeing you creating such a beautiful car (more than just a resto job in my mind). You haven't posted any updates for a while. Have you got her on the road and enjoying her too much, or is she still waiting patiently? Great rebuild of a great car :-)

Smile Project progress

Hi Guys!!

YES I'm going to update with some pictures. I didn't make any progress though... I've just moved in LA. I started in a new job and I had been installing my things on the new apartment. Plus, I had been 'crazy' with the Monterey car week and I just put the project in the side for a month.
Yesterday I installed the rubber seals on the windows frames.

I'll upload some pics soon!

Yip, sounds like a very busy month. Wouldn't it be cool to take your Jag next year to Montery

Smile on my way!

Hi guys! its been a while... I know but I have been very busy.
Here is the picture the day we moved. Emma rented and drove this huge truck and tow the XJ12. Yes! the LA traffic is not easy with such thing. I followed her with my car. Only one stop for dinner and walk my puppy.

Hi Debbie, looks like your car is coming along well. It looks like it has settled into the new garage too.

Thumbs down Disappointed !

I need to start to think about all the interior. upholstery, stereo, alarm, and 'rebuild' the climate control... I know my self and its going to be a long way.... So disappointed! the dash is plastic? what a cra...pp.. ! ok its totally crack and... I can't... I'm going to repair it and put at least vinyl or leather on the top.

Cool vents

the vents were broken too. I'm going to glue the corners and then make new studs. the original ones are very weak.

Default head lights

These things are very time consuming!!

the lights and its frames were so rusty and bad. While we send the rings for new chrome I'm working on the buckets and frames. I've found the original adjuster screws.

I'm glad your move went well, Debbie, I had been wondering how your car was coming.

Originally, there were 3 keys; Ignition key fits driver door, gas cap key fits passenger door, trunk key fits glove box - at least that's how my car is.

Do I understand correctly that you're making both door locks the same? That would be handy!

Wow, a garage wall with a mural!!! Puppy OK at new digs???

Very detailed restoration. I've a 'spare" set of old lamps in poor condition, but your "before" pics make mine look pristine, which they are not.

Nice work, as we are now expecting.

Plastic dash???? Why not wood like all other Jag's of the series'?
