Debbie,
Wow, fantastic work. Amazing project.
Excuse my ignorance on the SII XJ12. Is the transmission a BW12?
It seems the smog exemption in California has been 1975 and earlier cars for a while now; are they going to bump it up a few years eventually? That's what they do here in Georgia.

Not much chance. Our assembly persons would rather have us afoot or on biycles.
Some years back, one wanted annual inspections, to replace the bianuals.
Her mates too chicken to take the political heat.
Now, she wants to be a senator.
One of her more conservative neighbors accuses her of wearing pink sweat pants.

Thanks Paul! Yes it's a BW12.
No! The exempt cars are 1974 and early. 1975 is kinda grey area...
1976 must pass the test no matter what. The test is not easy, just the visual inspection to have all the correct parts could make you fail the test... I've adjusted all the valves and make all these extra works to make the engine run clean. I didn't started yet... but It will pass
Thanks again Paul!

Thinking to much
#1. Thinking were I should hang the wire harness, I don't want let it sit on the valley.
#2. I hate these clamps. Yes, the company that rebuilt and tested the injectors recommended me to use these clamps instead of the original 'washer-cups'... I think safety is first, but these clamps, c'mon! I have to think something better... they look from the worse American hot rod shop!

I knew that. Just wanted to show you a conversion.
Nothing wrong with yours.
I saw this on Jay Leno's Type IV E-Type roadster one-off custom job.
A Type I body is grafted onto a Type III E-Type Coupe front firewall forward.
It's very gorgeous car.
You may consider taking out your catalytic converters and replace them with straight pipe adaptors. Most of the smog equipment is redundant for the 1975-1976 Jags.
I installed, temperarily, two Weber downdraft carbs on my car, without the cats and it tested as clean as a 1988 Jag.
You will get better performance and the floor will be much cooler, too.

XK'S Unlimited did the customization, for Jay, but they really screwed up my coupe. I had to sue them. I drove my coupe into their garage, with a new master cylinder and they broke the brake fluid reservoir. Brake fluid removed paint on the inner fender well. They lied about it and said my new master cylinder was leaking. They broke it when they rebuilt the engine.
The really lame thing, was that they photo-copied my signature and printed it on new work orders and charged me $2,500.00, in extra work, without my permission.....
They were having desperate times, in business.

The last time that I spoke with Jay, he told me that the suspension and the exhaust system needed massaging. It's a very impressive car!

Debbie:
That engine is gorgeous. I love detailed engines, whatever the specie. My last 'pretty' engine was the Flat head Ford V8 in my "roadster of the 40's".
Safety, absolutely. You think the average Smog test guy will note "incorrect injector clamps", Nope. I think not. Not to mention, the bedazzled factors. pretty engione, pretty gal. Not a chance. done for.
Location of harness: I suggest suspension from the stay rods. Up and away, not ion the "valley of death". aka "Dantes Inferno".
Giovanni:
Jay's "E type" has been heavily massaged in a lot of places. Very unlike the original.
As I recall....
