My xj12 fuel tank has 2 lines side by side . one is 1/2in id (fuel out to pump) and the other is 3/8in id fuel in from injection return.
right tank is missing but I have a xj6 right fuel tank. Fuel lines on it are 3/8 (fuel out) and return 5/16.. anyways they are smaller than the xj12 tank.

will hooking up this xj6 tank with smaller tubes create a fuel supply issue (1/2in(xj12) to 3/8in (xj6) supply ) ? Or create a problem with the return fuel stream from injector rail (3/8in(xj12) to 5/16in (xj6) return) ? It might even raise the fuel pressure as the return line will be a bit smaller than the xj12 tank…

car will not be reved up or raced. Normal driving only.

the only way to tell is to test it which I will do unless someone has used a xj6 tank on a xj12 and can tell me the results.

For the clips, I like the vibration damping clamps but if you prefer plastic they are available too.

For the different size fuel lines on the tanks - my opinion is that it would be fine but I'd also just replace the tanks.

 

Thank you. I try to keep it Jaguar. I don’t want to put a new aftermarket tank, unless I have to. So far it’s going good.
I’ll look for the plastic clips.
