No, not necessarily. In all critters, there are good ways and bad
to get down.
1. Front. Add spacers between the lower control arm and spring pad.
Remove factory shims between the sprig and the lower control arm.
But, procedure 1, will raise the rear!! A pivot thing.
2. Rear. A bit more complex. Fab needed. Move the Coil over lows attachment points down.
Lower CG good, not bad as to ride and favorable as to handling.
Looks is subjective.

My car was lowered over 2 inches by the Previous Owner (I have no idea what was done) and I *Like it!* In fact, that's one of my favorite features of the car.
It looks a bit snarly and menacing sitting at the curb, like a cat waiting to Pounce, and corners like it's on rails.
