1991 XJ6 alarm buzzer will not shut off
The buzzer alarm that sounds when a door is ajar will activate at random times when the car is sitting, 12 to 48 hours after driving. Once activated the only way to shut it off is to disconnect the battery for several minutes. Then can reconnect the battery and the problem might not happen again for hours or a day.
So, how to fix? how to find? I cant determine the location of sound.
Can i just cut the alarm buzzer wire and get on with my life??
Thanks for any solid advice.

These jags have a whole host of methods of communication from beeps to chimes and shrieks.
Can you describe the sound in more detail?
The door ajar 'chime' should only sound when the lights are on and you open the door.
If you are sure that it is in fact the door chime you might want to check the door switch for obvious damage. Pull back the rubber boot and check for broken/shorted wires.
Give it a blast with WD40.
Are you 100% sure that your battery is good? A dying battery can trigger all sorts of strange happenings.
Do not cut wires, Jags don't like this method.
