1992 Vanden Plas - Need source for a Key Remote
Hello all,
New to the Jaguars and posted this in the wrong forum. I thought all XJ6's were in the same category. I need a good inexpensive source that you've bought and programmed successfully for your classic XJ6. Is there a single frequency for the 1992?
Much Thanks,
Leo

You might still be in the wrong section, sorry ! Jaguar model designations are confusing.
If you have a 6-cylinder USA-market Vanden Plas...which I suspect to be the case.... then you should post in the "XJ40" section.
However, "1992 Vanden Plas" could also be a Canadian market Series III car with the V12 engine....in which case you are in the right section. However, Series III cars don't have remote keyless entry so you're dealing with an aftermarket accessory.
("XJ40" is the engineering designation which is commonly used to differentiate later "XJ6"-type cars it from other variants....which makes perfect sense to more experienced Jaguar fans but adds confusion to the mix for those not-quite-so-familiar with the cars and models. Same with "X300")
Cheers
