1997 xj6 cigar lighter fuse keeps blowing after replacement
replaced fuse then 1-2 hours later fuse is bad again lighter will work shortly then dead again F14 labled 10a mirrors,[work]hrw,?cigar lighter,rear lcm,? hmsl,?seat control rear [opt] all this on a 10a fuse ? no rear seat control im not sure what this other loads are ? to complete troubleshooting that circuit

Not sure what a 97 Xj6 is in tin? If not a typo, the "youngest" cars here are ten years younger!!!
As the cigar lighter is a resistance unit, a 10 amp fuse seems puny.
but, that isn't the load you use it for. I doubt that any phone charger exceeds 10 amps.
The liklihood of all loads on at once is dim. But not impossible. Fr more than 10 amps, I would think.
That leaves one more probable flaw. A low grade short in the hot wire on that fuse
Good luck in following it through the maze. I'd be tempted to create a new source of 12 v for the fuse. True, a bodge to be avoided if possible.
Have I done it on a similar thing, In my case, not a short, but the absence of 12v.
