2 Jags in a row!
Hello All! I have a 1990 xj6 with approx. 165k on the mileage. Here's my situation. I'm going down the road after about 15 min. and I'll come to a stop light... Stop sign... And my oil pressure gauge will drop like a stone to low. I'll press the fuel pedal and I'll have some hesitation. Once the gauge moves up... The hesitation is gone. I have tried to put the 'Ol Girl into "Neutral" before giving it the gas in hopes that pressure is built and then I can be on my way with no problems.... No luck. The pressure gauge will only move up if the car is in gear. I'm stumped. I had a 1990 XJ Sovereign that did the exact same thing. Both cars had approx. the same mileage. Could someone shed some light on what the deal is with this? Thanks!

Mine is on the oil filter housing/next to it. My pressure gauge said 0psi with a hot engine, turns out it's 1 bar pressure.
I got a mechanical gauge at building supply store (?) it's used in boiler's, etc. but works fine with oil.
My car is a 1969 XJ6-4.2 btw
