Is it possible I once again have the wrong small wires going to Alt and maybe these again are the wires to AC pump? What colour small wires should go to Alt?

 

The A/C compressor would have a green wire and a black wire. Or perhaps green/black and black.

Most commonly the alternator would have 2 wires: the small excitor wire (brown/black) that goes to the warning light and a fat output wire (solid brown) that goes to the "+" junction post on the firewall.
