Default First Outing of 2017!

As you can see the Sun came out this afternoon so Nix got to go for a drive. She performed Flawlessly!!

Engine is quiet and runs cool; needle only getting about half way to the N in NORMAL. Of course it was a cool afternoon but still.....

AirCon works, heater works, fans work, windows work, central locking works with the console switch or the remote, brakes work, steering is crisp and responsive, engine has good performance, transmission shifts up or down as it should (passing gear is Awesome!), there are no obscene noises from the differential. And, best of all, there's not a single drop of errant coolant to be found Anywhere!!

The hum of a contented Mercan V8 is So much more enjoyable than the whine of a Korean 4 banger! To say we're pleased (all 3 of us) is an understatement of Gigantic proportions.

If the weather is good Saturday we'll take her to the March meeting of our Jaguar club, which amounts to a 110 mile drive to lunch. After that, the Summer is one of open roads and enjoyable drives.

Thank you all for you kind attention, support and encouragement.

Elinor

Car looks great! Love those wheels and have them on my '71 XJ... guess I will have to take my car somewhere and pose for a updated/current photo.. lots of changes since that photo was taken! My wheels are not polished shiny but have the Premium selection that has more holes.

Thank you, Roger,
I admit the wheels are part of the reason I fell in love with this car at first sight; right after the BLACK paint and 4 doors. The PO said he thought the wheels Made the car. I think he was right!

As soon as it's well and truly DARK I'll check out the headlights and report back about them too.
