The radio should send a 12V signal to the antenna control relay when the radio is on. This is a white & pink wire. The antenna relay is in the boot under the cover by the spare wheel. It is mounted on the inner edge of the rear panel, and is easier to access if you unscrew and remove the boot floor panel that runs across the rear of the boot space below the latch. The relay needs to be a double-pole type, and controls the antenna motor by sending 12V on the blue/white wire for UP and 12V on the blue/red wire for DOWN. The relay should have 12V supply on a purple wire coming from Fuse 3 in the main fuse panel.
I would start by checking you have the 12V on purple wire to pin 30 of the relay. If that is good, check if you get 12V out on 87A blue/red to the antenna motor. Then check you get 12V on the white/pink to pin 85 when the radio is on and that this makes the relay changeover and give you 12V on 87 blue/white (and 87A blue/red goes to zero volts).. If all these voltages are correct then then the problem is most likely with the antenna motor.
Mike, I replaced mine twice, first due to my own fault and second time because some kid bent it at a right angle, gave up and installed a stubby rubber one! No issues since!!! Might not be stock but gets the job done and doesn’t look too bad!! And now the antenna control from radio turns amp on and off!
