'86 XJ6 Master Cylinder-Booster Repair

Hi, I finally got stationary long enough to start on the leaking master cylinder. I got it, along with the booster and pedal bracket, out without much drama; pretty straightforward, actually.
I have a Factory master cylinder kit and booster kit. The booster, however, has been exposed to leaking brake fluid so long that the paint (powder coating?) is gone from the bottom and it is pretty rusty. I think I might be better off finding a used one in better shape, rather than trying to disassemble this one, and have it powder coated then rebuild it.
It appears the halves come apart with a twist; sounds so simple, but Ha! I know better.
If the master cylinder looks good inside, I will put the kit in it; if not, I'll get a rebuilt or new one. Everything was working, at least, when I took it down, but the leaking brake fluid had to be stopped. Nasty stuff, that.
