I answerhere and hopefully one of the admins will move the thread to the 'Ser I-II-III' section
Lokk at the pictures and you'll see the shiny silver throttle cable is routed sorta towards the battery, then upwards towards the firewall, then along the upper edge of the firewall (where the two diagonal support struts join, then downwards into the footwell.
Along the way are a couple of clips that secure the cable to some metal vacuum tubes in the vicinity.
Cheers

Thanks Doug but i guess i was a little vague about what i needed to know so let me try again. The cable comes thru a metal plate before it is attached to the accelator pedal what i need to know is how do i feed it thru that plate ? Do i remove the dash pad and go in from there or what ?? Thanks Neal.

It's been at least 10 year since I've replaced one so the details are foggy.
I recall simply releasing the old cable at boths ends and pulling it out of the footwell via the engine bay.....roughly below the brake booster.
The new cable is then feed into the footwell. I vaguely rcall a metal plate but I think the cable just goes right thru it.
Hopefully someone with a better memory will chime in
Cheers

There should be a grommet thru firewall, metal plate should not be a problem. Unfasten at pedal and at throttle and remove nuts and washers from inside on cable, might lube with WD-40 (etc.) and pull up thru firewall. Reverse the install and reclip as it was, reinstall nuts, spacers and washers and adjust to fit. Had one short on a wire and caught my windshield washer fluid on fire. Alcohol was hard to put out in a parking lot. Luckily it was a drip and could be contained. This happened the day before we were to leave on vacation, ordered one in overnight and left the next morning.
