Hi all, anyone tell me where the sending unit is located on the tank? Can I remove it without taking the tank out?

Remove the tail lamp assemblies. There senders are just forward of them.

 

yes, at the back of each tank behind each tail lamp.

first precaution: disconnect the BATTERy, you don't want electricity while doing this, then disconnect the two wires at each sender;

you need to use a Brass punch or something that does not produce a spark as you back it out counterclockwise hitting the punch with a wood mallet, it can cause an explosion to use steel.

also open the filler cap as you are removing them.
