AC Center vent not blowing any air out
#2
the top center vent opens when cooling, (a/c) is called for, i.e., when the TEMP knob is set to 65 F.
is cold air coming out of the 2 side vents?
if yes, then the issue might be the center vent's VACUUM ACTUATOR, located behind the Vent Box. To check it you need to remove the Dash Top Cap.
then you can check if the vacuum line is connected or not to the actuator's nipple,
if the vacuum line is connected, then the Actuator itself might have failed and it will need to be replaced which means removing the Vent Box to have access for removal and replacement.

Hi,
Driving around yesterday in 35 degrees I had same problem. After finding this tread I did whats you guys suggested and wedged it open. Now I have air coming out the centre vents ( all other vents work, very happy) and no need to do anything else except remove the wedge in winter... this is a much cheaper and easier solution than the same issue I had with my SAAB 95 and Commodore.. thanks everyone
