How do you get away with running on UK registration plates?

or are they for show only?

Some really nice cars there.

Some of the field looks a bit sparse, Darren, and it looks like rain on the white roadster. Did the rain keep some participants away?

There certainly were some Beautiful examples of British Automotion. Thank you for posting.

I don't think Florida requires a front plate so they can use a "show" plate up front.

Yup, rained all day, field started out sparse and got worse as day progressed.

Taking things a bit too far.... importing the weather from Britain as well as the registration plates!

Over here, a bit of rain doesn't stop a car show, If it did, there would not be too many!

Intriguing, indeed. That classic JAP powered Morgan intrigued me.

Over a decade has passed since the Concours de elegance took place
on the field of a local high school. I always enjoyed going there.
Cars of all marques and ages, most pristine, but a few 'survivors".
as they were!!

Thanks Darren for sharing.

It always amazes me when I see little minis in America, not because they are bad cars, far from it.... but when one of those 18 wheelers comes barrelling past it must be a real buttock clenching moment!

Thanks for posting. There were lots of beautiful cars that got really wet. I agree the Mk. 2 was the winner in our category. It was really well restored.

There was a XK150 that looked better than it did new.

Here is some hearsay:

There was also a Series 2 XKE that had something like 1200 original miles on it. Someone said it as a winner of some sort at Amelia Island this year. It stayed in the trailer during the rain for obvious reasons.

The 3 wheel Morgan was owned for many years by Mr. Moss, founder of Moss motors. It was raced frequently by him.

With light rain, the trees allowed you to continue to walk around without getting too wet.. When the rain got heavy and the wind picked up, the cars were not only wet, but covered with the yellow things that come off oak trees this time of year. A big mess. I am still finding them!
