antenna relay wiring

Have you got access to the wiring diagram ? As I remember, the relays show the terminal numbers for each connecting wire colour. Modern cars now have all the wires fixed into one-way-only plugs so its easier. If it went up, it indicates the fuse is OK.

do you have any idea if the cd's i see on ebay are worth purchasing?
this site (you guys) are much more helpful
i figured it out thie issue. i switched relays and after trying every possible combo it appears to be operational.

I thought I might have a bad relay for my car and in testing the thing I find that there is no power comming into the relay from any of the wires when the Ignition is on and the radio is on. Any ideas as to where to start looking? Would really like to get some sound out of the radio. It is a 82 XJ6
Thanks,.

I'd look upstream a bit for disconnected wires....perhaps in the console area?
The "constant" voltage is on the same circuit as interior and map lights so, if they're working, the circuit is at least fundamantally operational and suggests that only the branch to the antenna realy is kaput.
The radio on/off voltage comes eaither from the radio directly (early cars) or via a radio relay on later cars. The realy is under the console cubby box as I recall but I suspect yours would be considered and "early" car.
Jose has some other radio diagrams that might help. Hopefully he'll chime in. Jaguar used several different radios over the years and there are proably some wiring variations not fully accounted for in all the schematics
Cheers

Greetings,
I am trying to troubleshoot my OEM radio cassette and why the antenna does not raise. The radio works (sadly the cassette player does not) and I "think" I have replaced all of the fuses (did that when I got the car) but now want to check out the antenna relay (green box relay) but cant seem to find where it is in the car.
Additionally... any advice on troubleshooting the actual antenna and motor? Do I need to drop the right-rear quarter-panel valance to get to the antenna itself? Of course the Chilton Manual is useless for this (and almost everything else).
Thanks
