Default Anyone have a spare EAC9587 lower radiator hose heater?

Non working is fine. I have a new old stock lower hose with the big threaded orifice that needs plugging with a Jag SKU
EAC958 water heater, I though if I can find the heater bolt it will be useful as a coolant drain...I'm in California and this is for a 96 xj12, they all use that same plug form the late 70's though.

Cheers

have you checked with Lowe's or Home Depot or ACE in their plumbing aisles? If all you need is a coolant drain, they have brass spigots in different threaded sizes.

I just did - it's a huge 1 + 3/4" orifice, no one seems to carry a threaded bolt that size, even mcmaster, plus I figured if I get the Jag unit that fits I'm less likely to kill the motor with a coolant leak due to pilot error.

I'll be back on this forum again soon when I get back into my coupe which is waiting in the background for TLC

Cheers

I have several of those. You can have it free, just pay post. But, I'm a long way off in Ontario Canada, so hopefully you can find one closer.
Good luck,
Rob

The heaters I have measure about 1 1/4 inch. These may be from XJ6 blocks. Maybe different?

The hose I have measures 1 5/32 not the larger size which I mistyped, I think Jag used the same water heater for decades so sounds like you have one, which is terrific. I think they only used them in cold climates so not surprised to hear from you in Canada! I'll pm you my address and obviousl pay postage. anything you are looking for I might have in my piles of old dooney?

Did Jag teflon these in when they are installed? It's not installed in a bottom radiator hose with a spring in it so I want to make sure I can loosen and reseal the block heater bolt when I change the coolant without hurting the hose...

Cheers!
