Barn Find with Rats!
My '73 XJ actually sat from 1988 until 2016 when the second owner purchased it at auction. He did a lot of work on it last year then sold it to me. He said the wiper's didn't work and today I found out why. The Barn had Rats and they apparently like wiper motor wiring.
I removed the motor and re-soldered the wires. The motor was seized to from sitting most likely. I got it all cleaned up and back together and I now have fully functioning wipers that Park! It was a good day.

HA,
Aussie humour mate.
Add to that the fact ALL Jaguars a Female, you are in for a ball.
This will help.
Electrical theory as per Joseph Lucas.doc
Some of the smarter Aussie members here do have stock of that smoke, in glass jars, and a Guy in the UK has the applicator.
Above all have fun,

They are amazing. I've found a few mantra:
1. Excercising a sleeping device will often restore it to working status.
2. Same by clean, tighten and lube.
3. Or just be patient, the things just fix themselves at times.
As to, "3", a few weeks ago, the power door and boot locks in my car went semi dormant. Manual function remained. So, I looked to see what fuse I should check and it's location. Under the right scuttle. Well, not that easy, but better than a faed in line hidden somewhere!! So, I procrastinated. SOG, at market the other day, the boot boost was back!!!
