Default Brake upgrade woes

Well, not really woes, just a worn seal, but still, brings me to a standstill until the new seals show up…

Anyways, for anyone that knows my car, it recently went thru a serious HP upgrade , also in that endeavor came wire wheels, So in my search for better brake pads to eliminate some brake dust cleanup after every damned drive, I found some
ceramic pads and figured what the hell, I’m goin in, may as well get some slotted and drilled rotors, fats forward to today, all parts are here, it’s raining so im
not going anywhere I figured. Let’s get this done!

Got everything apart easily enough, swapped the disk over, and went to get bearing off of axle to repack and inner seal is just a. Bunch of rubber and coiled up metal spring! No damage anywhere other than to the chewed up rubber lip, so I’m at a stand still until my 2 dollar part shows up!!!! Ordered 2. As other side might be dame, unlikely but not getting caught out again!!!!
went ahead and did rears! Man oh man I have never done easier pad replacement, without exhaust snaked through cage its a snap! It’s not ideal to swap pad without at least a scuffing of disk, but for now it will do, as rear end is coming for gear swap out as soon as I figure out my finances with daughter staring college in August, she takes the money, I split what’s left with wife!!! Lol

Just got some drilled and slotted rotors for my TR6. I've never been entirely convinced of their usefulness. But, as you say, "What the hell, why not?"

If nothing else I can now say that I'm in with the in crowd !

Don’t known if it’s actually any better, but it sure is pretty!!

Do the stock pads cover any more surface area on the rotors?

The stock pads and the new ceramic pads have exactly same size pad material

It’s all back together, and I just got back from
bedding the pads, we shall see how they work later today, going to a cruise /show later this afternoon, there are 3 scheduled this weekend, go look on off topic for my dilemma!!!!
