Carburetor information; Redline Weber kits

Curt, I have the kit installed on my 77 coupe. Bolts up easy, linkage hookup is straightforward and much like you would see on a typical hot rod. I found that the pedal effort got higherthan I wanted, so I lengthened the lever arm and got it where I was happy. I have the electric choke and found it to bea pain to get set right. In the end I justset it to barely work so it actuated only on the coldest days( I live inPhoenix; never too cold)
Reliable yes! Whatpoor settings you have today, you will have repeatedly tomorrow and thenext. I stated to play with the jettingand got it pretty damn good. Do yourignition system first. Electronic, good coil and properly timed. Then start in with the Webers. Carbs will never be FI, but so much nicerthan the factory carbs. Noticeably morepower and better acceleration. I don'tmuch like the air cleaner solution but don't have a better plan right now. Think through your fuel line route so itcomes out without kinks and is out of the way.
Am I glad did it? Forsure! I'd do it again.
My car has been put up for a number of years now and I'mjust these days preparing it for the road again. I'm anxious to see how it will run this timeas I have no smog equipment these days.
