Carpet replacement
#21
When i first got my car the wood was all shot so i bought that stick on fake wood from ebay, its ok if all you want to do is hide ugly, but eventually i got tired of it and sanded the dash and revarnished and it came out beautiful as for the area by the trip computer and switches i got a piece of walnut veneer and glued it on, and varnished it! it looks great!

I've got the carpets and mats but there have been some leaks so either need to get them well cleaned or replaced. The wood veneer is cracking and coming apart, pulling up from the base in places. I could buy some veneer and cut it to fit the shapes of the existing damaged trim but thought if there was a wood replacement kit that would be easier. Definitely don't want to do the "cover up" route.

The wood trim kits on ebay are just a vinyl overlay and not very attractive. I got my wood kit from Paul's Jaguar. It included an instrument panel, glove box cover, door trim, and a radio panel. It did not include the shifter panel. I had to send that off to (I forget) in California. Anyway, they did a great job. Paul's Jaguar referred me to them and they should know the name of the place.
