Cibie H4 lights: worth restoring?
Hello everyone,
This is my first post in the forum, so I hope I've come to the right place.
I have had come into my possession a set of original Cibie European headlights, with H4 bulbs, a separate city light bulb, and the glass lenses. They are in good shape overall, but the chrome plating inside the bucket is nearly shot.
I am considering bringing them to a local chrome re-plater and (hopefully) having the buckets re-chromed fairly reasonably. The other thing I will need are new gaskets/seals but I cannot find them anywhere. Does anyone know if these are attainable?
What are your thoughts on this - worth the time/effort? From what I have read, they are rare assemblies and eBay listings like this one show new units still command a fair price (which I interpret as being good quality lighting products).
Here is a picture of what I have:
Thanks for any insights!
