+1, both Gary & Phil have been very helpful with harder to get S1 parts for me. Here are the links to them.
I do it all the time Nigel, no one seems to have a problem with it. Guess we are here to share info.

Yep, Nigel . . . I agree with Clarke . . . JF rules state no advertising in forum posts either private or commercial on your own behalf, unless in designated "For Sale" section . . . to which I would add that one should declare any personal or family interest in any recommendation . . . but, beyond that, I agree that the sharing of trusted suppliers of goods and services is one of the foundations of JF . . . and highly valued by members.
So, thanks to you both . . . and I will contact all 4 of your recommended suppliers to either quote or put me on their "watch and advise" lists for a matched set of all 4 VDP style crash rolls with the veneered timber inserts. Yeah, I know . . . it's only money!
Cheers
Ken

Tis confusing enough. Left vs right. Up vs down.
When one flushes the loo, does the water curl CW
or CCW??
Those are both elegant door panels (cards). My car is
a base model and it's "cards/panels" are much simpler.
but, as they are in great condition, I ain't messing with them.
As to the "quaint" gas caps, fine with me. One lost it's "unleaded"
only lettering somewhere along the trail. Tanking up is a "performance". My procedure involves a pirouette when moving the
hose from one tank to the other!!!
That only bested by a picture I saw. A car parked in the center of the aisle ands taking on fuel from two pumps!!!
In 1981, I went shopping for a car to replace the FJ40. I found myself at the Toyota dealer's used lot. I narrowed the choice down to an 80
Jeep Cherokee and a 79 IHC Scout II. Each nicely detailed. Color decided me. Jeep's white was boring. Scout's brilliant orange attractive. Oh, Caltrans uses the color!!! Good pricing on each, both known "gas hogs". Gas $'s way up there, OPEC having it's way...
But, as the IHC was now an orphan, it was a bit cheaper.
Done, not a lot of miles to be driven. Tough old beast. Should've kept it.
