Custom Exhaust for 5.3 v12...Any recommendations?
Im just finishing off a project and I wanted to know if anyone can recommend any good places to get a complete custom exhausts system made up for a daimler double six ?
I have seen a few places stock the manifolds and they can complete the rest of the system with ease but I am curios to see if anyone has got any pictures or videos of any custom systems for series 3 jags?
Any pointers or advice would be great!
Kind regards
Jon

Not to sound like a dbag but YouTube sir. Just type in jaguar v12 exhaust and quite a few come up. Even the ol Stebro exhaust. Everythings custom made for the most part nowadays. I came across a set of stainless headers for 2400usd and catback system for 2400usd on some site but cant remember which. Whoever pays that much for an exhaust is insane anyway.

daimler double six 5.3 v12
Hi thanks for the assistance.
I have had a look on YouTube but what im really looking for is someone who has recently purchased a full system from a UK company with pics and videos to show examples of the work.
Do you know anyone who has recently purchased a full series 3 system?
Kind Regards
Jon

Welcome to the forumns
Tell us more about your project? What are you trying to accomplish? Performance flow? Stainless durability? Better Sound? Perhaps some combination of them all?
There isn't much after market support for the Series 3 V12 because of relatively low production numbers and even fewer modifiers. The true dual stock system was designed very well for a road car. The only XJ platform that was raced was the Broadspeed coupes and they had the Exhaust exit in front of the rear wheels. Even the stock replacement parts are getting hard to find so anything you do will likely need to be custom...um... bespoke.
Some people run high flow mufflers and route the pipes under the differential to avoid the restrictive over the axel bends. I'm not a fan of this because it limits ground clearance. The over the Axel bends are time consuming to fabricate and they can only be done in a slightly larger size because of clearance issues between the rear inboard brakes and the drive axels. I've seen others remove the mufflers all together and just run the resonators that are out behind the rear wheels.
In my lump'd XJ6c I use a Y pipe to bridge the two exhaust streams into a single straight pipe that has a vacuum controlled valve at the end with a turndown just before the diff. The valve opens up for a truly open exhaust flow and sound. When the valve is closed the exhaust is routed out the side of the single end of the Y pipe right before the valves and then off to the stock muffles and pipes. This provides a super quiet cruise and mid range but once I go WOT the valve snaps open and it screams! I'll get a picture when the weather here warms up and I can get back in the garage. Its complex with wires, hoses, a solenoid, a vacuum reserve, a WOT switch mounted to the throttle and my amateur welding but it works well for me.

Hi
Thanks for the assistance and detailed responses.
Im going for a classic style with a bit of a twist. I am going to create a quad exhaust system like Arden used to make but with series 3 styling. Sound wise not going to be OTT but at the same time its a v12 so I do want a bit of grunt when I put my foot down.
I think im going with these guys Hand-Made Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems - Hayward and Scott
icsamerica and RGP do you have any pictures or videos of your exhaust?
Kind Regards
Jon

These guys do systems for Jaguars, but probably only to match the stock items.
