Default Daimler sovereign 4.2 idles fine but misfires when reved

I was driving driving up the road and came to a roundabout and as I slowed down the car seemed to hesitate then as I came off the roundabout it did it again I came to a second roundabout it happened again but as I came off this one the car car jerked slowed to a crawl and after a few seconds died, it idles fine but when revenge it will misfire die down the rev again but under load it will die after the first misfires, its had a new fuel pump filter vacuum lines and air filter. thank you for read kind regards Phillip

Could be the mass air flow sensor

You do not tell us the model year of the Daimler, but the symptoms suggest a failing module in the ignition amplifier (mounted on the front of the engine near the distributor). A typical failure pattern becomes evident with age and heat: hesitation, engine stalling, and very often difficult starting. The module is ACDelco 1906, inexpensive and very easy to replace. Do not use generic replacements!

Could be yet another bad rotor arm. Has it been replaced in the last year?

Default Is this Carb or FI

Is this Fuel Injected or carbureted? Sounds like oil dampers (dash pots) are empty and allow the needles to rise to quickly.

Could also be a failing ignition coil too.
