Does anybody know where I can get a 3 check valve the one that goes to the xj6 by the charcoal canister can to find them anywhere. I can hear the pressure in my tanks while they expand and contract and the car keeps stalling. Im suspecting this is the problem.

the one you want to deal with is the 1-way check valve located on the passenger side, inner wheel panel.
either remove it entirely and replace it with a straight-through connector between the two hoses, or insert a 1/8" drill bit on one side of the check valve and pull it out the other side. The idea is to rupture the inner membrane which is causing the backup of fuel vapors and creating excessive pressure to build up at the tanks. The problem will dissappear once you do that.

Or, I have a unit from a GM car that came with the engine transplant package I bout from a nearby recycler. the canister and valving are almost identical to the Jaguar unit.
Either a GM shop or well equipped NAPA or similar probably can match the one you show them.
What is the issue with the one you have?
Perhaps, it is a caked charcoal lump in the cannister rather than the valve?
The latter can be dealt with.

Carl, the Fuel Vapor system is a GM system, like many other GM parts in the Series 3 XJ-6.
1) power steering pump > GM Saginaw pump
2) steering rack & pinion > GM
3) transmission > Borg Warner
4) a/c compressor > GM Harrison
5) ignition amplifier > GM Delco
6) air pump system > GM Delco
7) power window motors > GM
I know I am forgetting something. The 1-way and 3-way check valves, and the electric Purge Valve are GM too. Who knows what else.

Well i my car starts up everytime but stays. Sometimes it will idle smooth but stall out after 15 mins. After i shut the car off i can hear the gas tank gurgling from the one i was using. Then sometimes i can hear the tank itself pop form expansion and returning to shape. Im guessing it might be a bad valve causing a vaccum in my lines

yes, just get a thin drill bit and push it through either side and pull the drill bit through the other side.
to find the 1-way valve that is causing the expansion-contraction of the tanks, all you have to do is look behind the passenger side front tire with a flashlight, if you cannot see it, raise the car with the jack so the front passenger tire goes down, then you will see it on the inner wall;
simply disconnect the check valve from the rubber hoses. Observe that one hose is wider than the other, it only goes back one way.

Old thread but a related question to the one way valve and tank pressure. Only ONE of my tanks has this issue when I open the gas cap. That leads me to believe that the issue on my car is a clogged vapor pipe/hose from tank to "T". Otherwise if valve in front driver wheel well was issue I would think both would misbehave
Thanks Randy
