Once you've determined the fan itself is operational I'd remove the two wires from the temp switch and touch them together. If the fan operates you then know that the circuit is OK and the switch must be faulty.
If the fan does not operate then you have not proven that the switch is good but you've proven there is a fault somewhere in the circuit....most likely the relay
In any case always check the fuse first ! The #1 fuse in the headlight fuse box.

in the early 1990's someone came up with a mod to make the fan run everytime the a/c compressor is engaged, even when using the Heater. The same way the 12 cylinder cars are wired at the factory.
I still have the mod instructions and the wiring done in my car, but I disconnected it because I was in Tennessee and you don't need the auxiliary fan running in winter when the opposite is true.
