He, he!!!
Way back when, a school chum and I had the nutty idea of being RR owners. We drove my 47 Ford to nearby Carlsbad, New Mexico to see a circa 28 Brewster RR. Asking price a bit over a grand. Sell my Ford and his GMC and buy it as partners??
It's reviver told us as how he got it unstuck and running. Impressive.
But, the "screw in dip stick" was missing!!! A fitting was found to fit.
And a ball chain attached to dip in the sump and see the oil level.
Clever.
We awoke and passed....

It is a push fit, but may be difficult to remove as I suspect they will have used some 'goo' to seal it. So be careful to make sure you don't buckle it.
