Free 1985 Jaguar s-6 angine and tranny
Well its summer and time for another project, I live in Oak Harbor Washignton and I am about to convert yet another Jaguar to a Chevy plant, as per usual like last year the engine runs leaks a bit out of the back a tiny bit and the tranny is great no slips or leaks, Anyone want it? Its free.. The catch is you have to come pull it yourself, This is a xj6 from 1985 with about 80k miles, I have chopped the top off and am currently installing a convertible top onto it, this is a good time for me to lose the engine and convert it at the same time, email me if you want it QEASTAR@msn.com

Hi James
As much as I'd like to take you up on that offer, it would be a bit of a commute. I'm in New Hampshire, so honestly I don't think you could get much further away from me without getting your feet wet.
Anyway, I've heard the chevy conversion is a sweet setup and if I can't get my 87 XJ6 to run, or don't like what I hear when/if it does, I'm seriously considering the swap. Can you throw some information my way? How easy is the conversion? How much modifications are needed? Isn't it a chevy transmission already and will a SBC bolt up?
Thanks!
