fuel line

So I was underneath my car recently and I notice that some ape of a previous owner has made a "patch" in the fuel line. Somehow the fuel line had been cut (it appears to be from bottoming out) and has used a small length of rubber hose and some hose clamps as a solution. Where can I buy new fuel lines to do the job right?

That is a pretty standard repair for metal fuel lines that are damaged. Our S2 XJ12 had that on the return fuel line due to some dumb tyre fitter jacking the car without using the jacking points. Been that way for 14 years, no issues.
If it is the suppply line make sure it is EFI rated hose, and double clamps each side, drive on and enjoy.
You will have fuel hoses in those metal lines anyway, just above the rear suspension cradle on each side.

As Grant Francis says, there are already some flexible pipes in the fuel system. You must check the additional one you have found on the car is rated for fuel, (petrol), and are not for water or whatever. I was sold the wrong stuff in 1992 to connect up the return valves near the rear suspension, and the petrol dissolved out the pipe inner, and dumped all the rubber particles into the fuel tanks thus blocking the filter. An absolute PIG of a job to put right.
