Lots of possibilities and you probably have a stack-up of different faults.
Fumes:
Check or, much better yet, replace ALL the fuel hoses in the engine bay. I'll wager they're all original. Don't forget the small section of hoses at the front of the cylinder head the the hoses at the fuel cooler.
Multiple fuel hoses to and from the tanks, fuel pump, etc. including in the rear wheelwells where the return valves reside.
The seals at each filler cap can shrink and allow fumes into the cabin.
In each "C-pillar" there is a fuel condensation cannister. If these rust out you get a huge fuel odor in the cabin.
Start with replacing the engine bay hoses and see what happens
Rough idle:
Need more info to help! :-)
Was all the old fuel from both tanks drained out? Did you clean the inside of the tanks? Did you replace the fuel filter? Does the engine run rough JUST at idle? Does engine temp have any bearing on the problem? Any black moke from the exhaust? How are the plugs, plug wires, etc?
Welcome aboard, by the way!
Cheers
