Wonder if any of this stuff is among David Boger's collection ?
No more springs, no more monkey motion thing. Neat.
And, I wonder if Jaguar included the lower tapped hole in all the cars.
Would make the install a lot easier.
Alas, my car's battery was down. I was going to exercise it a bit on errands +. I'd not driven it. Hot and no AC!!! Charger brought it to 100% in about three hours. Am I going battery shopping soon!!!
Wow. Dutch-cat, that is the definitive solution. I will now be working on finding a way to anchor the bottom down in that tight space. I also want to complement you on the excellent photography. How did you get the super clear photo of the bottom anchor? Perfectly illuminated and everything in focus.

About the photo's: they were made with, believe it or not, a $75,- Canon Ixus 175 pocket camera. Just steady hands i guess... ;-)
Anyone find a part number for those? Right angle bracket almost looks generic. That bottom hole may be a bear...
Dutch, did you upload those pics directly to JF from your computer? Or a turd party host ...sorry, still pissed at photobucket.
