Default G'day from Oz

Hi

I have just joined the forum. I have owned my 1986 Daimler Double Six since 2008 and have been doing a running refurbishment and upgrade over that time. I was lucky to find a local specialist who ahs been completely involved in the process. As I retired a while ago I have decided to tackle those labour intensive but not highly skilled jobs my self. I have done a bare metal restoration on and MG B just before acquiring the Daimler so I have some skills but this cat is a way level difference in complexity and sophistication.

My planned task is to replace the crazed facia and console with newly restored veneered panels.

Since I've owned it the Daimler has been used mostly as a daily driver. It has XJS Starfish wheels, modified exhaust and a modified T400 transmission. The suspension has also received a rebuild with upgrade shocks.

The photo shows my toy in front of the lake in Canberra Australia where I live.

Cheers

Geoff

Welcome Geoff:

Very nice platform to work on.

Can be very satisfying or very frustrating. And, absolutely humbling, if one needs that!!

So much skilled and willing help here.

Retirement!! Tis been then years since I did that at 75. Been busy all along. Lesson, no rocking chair!! Stay active, mind and body. Former easier than the latter!!

Welcome aboard, so many skilled people on here which is a heaven send when asking about obscure Jag related questions no one else knows out there knows anything about.
