Oh, so true….the mere sound of the V12 starter motor (like a turbine) puts a smile on my face. The V12 is silky smooth, silent, responsive, somewhat thirsty, but that magnificent engine teamed with the smooth GM 400 transmission…well, no matter how beautiful the XJ6, there is no comparison to the driving/owning experience.
The gem is the V12 in the Series III body, especially with Vanden Plas trim. So beautiful.

Very tempting. I was "eying up" your car a few months ago. It's a beauty.
I'm a "never say never" person. But, as mentioned, once you've gone V12 it's hard going back to a 6 cylinder.
My present car was an XJ6 that I converted to a V12. I could always do that again....but I'm not sure I have it in me right now.
