Default Help with VIN

I just bought a XJ6 chassis with VIN no 1L19322BW, but I can't find info anywhere. It's supposed to be a '71 XJ6.

Can anyone please help me with details?

/Mikael

It looks like you are importing the car.

Because it is such an old car, you might have a bit of 'fun' identifying it for fiscal purposes.

The standard VIN system was I believe only adopted around 1981, until that date, manufacturers all had their own system.

You could go through Jaguar Denmark but also Jaguar Heritage might be able to help you out for all the specific information that you need.

Do you not have any sort of old registration document with the car or is it just a chassis that you have?

Hey guys, any of you more 'classic' Jag gurus able to pitch in?
