My first love was TR4's, TR250, and three TR6's. I used to run AutoCrosses and Hill Climbs in Connecticut when I wore a younger man's clothes. Was very successful with them.
You are going to give those Sunbeam Tigers a run for their money!!

Nice looking car!!

Thanks, Bill. I think it looks great, too. But the PO did some things that don't quite suit my tastes so I have some projects ahead of me. I'll be reinstalling the bumpers, fitting a slightly quieter exhaust, removing the race car seat belts.....things of that nature.

I've wanted a TR6 for as long as I an remember !

Ooo!! Be Still my Trembling heart!!
Doug, That's Awesome! And it's even the RIGHT COLOR!!
You now have the Elusive TR8! (Makes me miss my Datsun roadster)

I wish I had an Employer that liked me that much! I wanted one of them back when I had my first experience with the XJS. I sure couldn't afford the XJS, but I could afford a TR 6. We got one in while I was working at the dealership. The only problem was it had been road raced extensively, and when you started it the cowl would shake sideways 3 to 4 inches. I was told by my friend, and service manager that I couldn't have it. Good advice. But I still wanted it. LOL!
Some years ago, my son operated a machine shop with emphasis on performance engines. And took the bones of an older dynamotor to a useful device. A local group of Tigers competed in getting an engine built that would put up more HP's than the other guys, Real bench racing. Watch the V8 roar through the safe glass...
Very sharp!
TR6 was my first car that I purchased myself. ( I had a VW beetle that was a hand me down first). I still have the TR6 and have kept it on the road for 36 years now.
However we went in slightly different paths, as my XJ6 is Lumped and my TR6 is stock.
Hopefully the previous owner also upgraded the drivetrain and suspension to go with that monster up front. I drive the XJ6 when it's unsuitable to put the top down.
I used to see quite a few little roadsters buzzing around with the top up in good weather (back when I used to see little roadsters at all, haven't seen a single one in a couple years), I saw that as a Travesty!
My Datsun roadster didn't even have a top! If I got caught out in the rain with it, it was my own fault for not paying more attention to the coming weather.
The Most stupid thing I see around here is a convertible with Top Down, Windows Up.
Really??!

Honest Officer! I just thought you wanted to RACE!!!!
Jack
Honest officer, I was really trying to keep it under 60!
I have just paid a lot of money to have this instrument calibrated and adjusted and I'm Astonished it's so inaccurate!
