1. Way back when My T roadster had lost it's top long before i got it. Billy had aneat T as well. No top either. Roy bought a bedraggled 28 A sport coupe. he did away with the top and fenders. We usually had GI ponchos available under the seat. In case of a rare west Texas thunder storm, we had two options. Await the passing if an under pass were nearby. Attach one end of the Poncho to the WS posts. And tuck the other behind our backs. Amazingly, it worked jsut fine.
2. When I built my 27 T bodied Hot rod of the 40's. I ignored any need for a top.
3. Circa 48 or so, I swapped my T for a 31 Studebaker. it to serve as a parts car for the 31 sedan i bought for 200. Each closed cars. No heaters, but so much warmr in winter than the open T!!! OH, Mom would ride in it.... Dad,, nope. Not sure why?/ I got to drive the family 38 dodge as needed...
The college chicks were OK with the Stude, not at all with the T!!!
