Jaguar XJ6 4.2 Project
#62
Good to know it's still progressing.
Just started cutting away the rust in my XJC. At this rate there won't be much of it left!!
In many places there's patch upon patch upon patch, which makes it really difficult to cut out or sometimes to work out what the original panels looked like, e.g the inner and outer sill area under the rear window (XJC) or the floor under the big cross member across the front of the rear seat (if you know what I mean) I can't work out if it's a single layer or what.
I didn't cut enough bits off the donor XJ6 even after the part shell I left!
I will start my own restoration project thread soon, Just can't face it at the moment.
Good luck with the work! I know how you feel!! I'm still not sure whose is rustier, maybe after I start my thread we can put it to a vote!!
