jaguar xj6 fuel system problem
i have an 84 xj6 and it needs a driver side gas tank (which i have) but fuel is also leaking from the right side, and the right side tank was just recently replaced,if anyone could help me try to understand where this excess fuel is leaking from it would be much appreciated.

You are NEW, so welcome aboard, fun is about to begin, and you will enjoy your time here, that is guaranteed.
I am not real familiar with US spec S3 fuel plumbing, but there are a myriad of hoses and pipes between the 2 tanks, as well as tank sender unit gaskets that can leak.
Wait a little longer and Doug will appear, and he is right up there with S3's, and I think he did have his tanks out at some stage??.

I would say your first step needs to be removal of the 1/4 panel below the side bumpers to expose the bottom of the tank. You will then be able to see at what point the fuel is dripping down. There are several holes in these tanks toward the bottom, the lowest being the drain plug and gauze filter, but there is the fuel return entry at the front, the fuel feed at the side inner, and the hole at the rear for the fuel gauge fitting.
Did you replace the RH side tank or was it the previous owner ?
