Jaguar xj6 start up question
The car has a new alternator, battery, volt regulator, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs.
Why would the car have extended cranking the first time and then fire up the second crank. The car sat for about 3 hours in cold temps so im thinking maybe the cold start injector? Or maybe the spark plug wires since I recently had a valve cover gasket oil leak I just fixed about 2 months ago. Any ideas? It did fire right up after getting home and waiting a half hour and starting it again

The cold start injector pours fuel into the inlet manifold when the car is cold. However, the car will eventually get enough fuel from the main injectors if the cold start injector isn't working. After all these have to supply the cold engine when the cols start injector switches off. The cold start injector is only allowed to run for a short time, and is then switched off by the thermo-time switch.
