Last Outing of the Year.
It was a Glorious day! The air was clear and cold and Nix Loved it! She took full advantage of her last run for this year, running strong, turning heads, didn't miss a beat.
I was surprised how light traffic was given the seasonal frenzy. Even so, I parked Nix well away from lesser examples of Automobilia just to keep her safe.
When I came out from one store, (you might recognize this from a previous adventure), there again was another pickup snuggled up flirting with Nix! (cheeky buck!)
See how many empty spaces are all around! But where does he park?
We are told to expect an extended rainy period for the foreseeable future. Nix does Not like to get her feet wet so today was a bit special.
She was Such a good girl.

Enjoy the wet, and please direct any surplus our way - sorely needed. Currently 38C in the shade outside, and rising. Jag sits in the garage refusing to go out in such obscene conditions, sent her young German stable mate out instead. The appliance displayed her usual teutonic efficiency.

LOL Thanx, Guys,
Doug:
I'll be surprised if we have any more days like that in a row. Today for example, it isn't raining, Yet, but it's overcast and just not pleasant out there; dreary and depressing. Definitely not weather to instill great enthusiasm while driving.
Besides that, I have a growing list of little things I want to do, mods I want to make over winter, and to do that, I need to be able to count on an extended period of inactivity.
Tony:
I don't expect any extra wetness. Stats are we're only 7% of "normal" El Nino notwithstanding. I don't know where the rain is going but it certainly isn't coming here.
For example, they tell us to expect an inch or two in 3 days from now, but the closer the weather system gets to shore the more it thins out. Every day they revise their estimates down until we might get 1/4 inch over a couple days. That's enough to keep the fires down but not Nearly enough to fill lakes and recharge the water table.
Steve:
Yesterday was very nice in the sun. All us lizards came out to bask in it. When it went behind a cloud briefly, we got downright Cold! He'll need a better excuse than that!
Carl:
Nix does seem to attract all sorts! At least this one wasn't a lifted 4x4 with skid pan, brush bars and big knobby tires.
Of course, a girl hasn't got much to say about what's attracted to her, only about what comes back. So far, there have been no repeat offenders.
Good Girl!

It is nice to hear you guys talking about possibility of rain these days. Seems to be our turn in the cycle to dry out a bit. The southern part of the country (Adelaide and Melbourne) is enjoying a string of hot days (40s for Adelaide and 38-40 for Melbourne). Bit early this year but they generally arrive at some stage.
