LHD to RHD conversion
OUT OF BOREDOM COMES A REALLY DUMB IDEA: really?
So! I may be nuts, but hear me out. I picked up another 1984 Series 3 today. Out of total boredom, I want to convert this car from LHD to RHD. I already have a RHD dashboard from a series 2 purchased a few years ago. Unfortunately, I junked the car due to it being a total rust bucket. Now I wish I still had it. Besides the steering rack, what do I need (parts) to do this conversion. I haven't done a complete study of what I have to do at this time. Can I remove the box that holds the steering and the other components from the Left side and move it to the Right side or do I need to purchase a RHD box. If so, are there any available in the US or do I order from the UK or Australia. Just looking for the easiest way to do this.
Happy TURKEY DAY to all

MMMMM, Boredom generally leads to "drinking", ENJOY.
The steering rack will have to be a RHD unit, from either of the suggestions you stated.
The brake pedal box and ALL the pipes will need to side swapped.
The wiring loom will need to be side swapped I reckon, coz there are NO LHD plugs on a RHD car, so I see NO reason for RHD plugs to be available on a LHD car.
The power steer hoses will need RHD hoses.
Gas pedal will need swapping.
Door mirror wiring will need swapping.
Central locking MAY need some trickery, as the LH door is the prime now.
There will be a myriad of other things I have forgotten.
One thing for sure, you will NOT be bored again for at least 12 months.
