Default Looking for European headlight switch

To offset the "driving by candlelight" effect of the DOT headlights (7" but still), I bought a used European headlight switch for my series 3 a few years ago to augment the low beam lights with the fog lights but, being used, it's failing. Anyone know where I could buy another European spec headlight switch? Or the part number? I've already checked with David at EveryDayXJ.

Thanks in advance.

I have DAC4489 (DAC3089) as the part number(s). Afraid I can’t help with sourcing, though :-)

Andrew.

Thanks. It's listed as Special Order Only, which I'm interpreting as "Out of Stock". Looks like JagBits has it but they can't confirm it's the correct part.

The position that activates low beams with fogs won't turn the fogs on anymore. The position that turns the fogs on by themselves, which I almost never need to use, still lights them up just fine. It was well used when I got it, so no telling how much action it's seen.

got it. If you can get a brand new one, do it, though I think the old one could be fixed, it's only good for an emergency. I'm thinking of ordering a new one too.

Rhett:

Yeah, and our CVC does not allow driving on "Fogs" alone. The main lamps must be on as well.

I improved my Jaguar's illumination by merely swapping in a fresh set of Halogens.

DOT does not design or specify, it merely approves or rejects the submissions of others. Logical at times, not so much at others.

Doesn't look like I'll ever install the new pair of period correct Hella
lams under my lump's bumper....
