Default Lump exhaust setups

Tried doing a search, but I must not be typing in the correct keywords.. looking for pics of entire systems front to back, what size mufflers etc, I found a few pics of under the cage setups that look quite nice, probably the way I will go. But interested in seeing what others have done.

Darren,
I can only post a picture of the front half of my exhaust system, but I can tell you it does go through the cage because the car sits so low there is not room for it to go under the cage.

Mine is done similar to Nix, with the exception of the crosspipe that Lnrb added later (iirc). I also don't have cats and it appears hers does.

2-1/2" front to back, under cage with no ground clearance issues.

You don't have CATs because, you lucky dog, you, your car is *1974* and doesn't require them (December 31, 1975 is the cutoff build date).
Mine was built JANUARY 1976 and so Does require them by California law.

I also have no cross-pipe; illegal in California, as the car left the factory with single exhaust so must have effectively single exhaust forever more.
(Of, if only she was ONE MONTH older......!)

Ay yes, the CA cat issue. Plus the legislature's refusal to up the age exemption for SMOG!!! Just endured the )*))*&&^test. Sniffed very clean... I'll not discuss the CAT issue in "public"...

I do like my system. It is a true dual exhaust. Enabled as the donor car, Cadillac Fleetwood brougham was so fitted... Lucky me. It took my factory manual to convince the SMOG referee..
reasonable guy, accepted.

I started with a very nicely done set of down pipes vial Jim Johnson's sun Coast in Punta Gorda FL I drilled the ands welded on bungs for the O2 sensors.

The local muffler shop built the two pipes back to the original Jaguar mufflers. Two cats are just aft of the transmission. Cat heat not good for the trnsmssion .

And, an "H" pipe. Not optimaly laced for performance. that is an art. But to eliminate rasp and drone. it does that.

A PO had welded in small glass packs in lieu of the resonators. Those and the S tips remained.

It sounds nice. A good V8 burble, but not extra loud or raspy. Classy as it should in a Jaguar.
