Mystery wire/switch

Mystery wire/switch
Hi all,
Hope everyone is well.
Series 3 Pre HE v12 - I have a mystery sensor/switch on B bank water rail that I'm trying to identify.
Any parts catalogues I have looked at simply show a blanking plug - no mention of the wires or switch.
It sits behind the CTS and has blue/green and black/tan wires connecting it.
Thanks in advance.
Roger

Hi,
in this forum there are no stupid questions.
I think the lack of replies is that very few have a 12 cylinder XJ. Most of us have the 6 cylinder engined XJ.
to me it looks like a coolant temperature sensor, after all it is in the water rail, but I don't know.

Roger,
That Black/Green, looks that to me, is specified to "radiator fan motor".
The other looks Blue/Orange to me, and that gets NO destination.
This I found from a colour chart from Fraser Mitchel, over on the MK X Section, where I am trying to identify a MK X "switch thingy".

I will look through my stuff tomorrow.
