Default Nardi or similar wheel hub

Hi folks,

I've a Nardi steering wheel that I'm looking to install in my 76 Series 2. I know it's not exactly a unique addition, so I'm hoping other members have some advice.

The Nardi hub adapter (4302.14.2202) seems to be unobtainium at this time. The manufacturer promised they'll connect me with a supplier here in the States but no such luck yet. Even eBay sellers seem to be sold out.

Have others had any luck with universal adapters? If so, which one have you used and how was the install?

Thank you in advance.

So the JHP part number is different from anything that I've seen for a 76 XJ. I just sent them an email to confirm fitment so fingers crossed!

If no luck, I guess universal adapters from amazon it is.

@Gatucho thank you for the suggestions! Have you had any experience dealing with JHP?

Never heard of them till today. They did show pictures of the products. I was surprised that 75 and 76 differed.... I have a 75 coupe I've been looking for a wheel for.

Yup, I also thought that was strange.

I've had this wheel for a few months so can't return it anymore but when I was shopping for one I also had my eye on the classic style Momo: https://momo.com/en-us/shop/indy?sku=IND35MA0P

The nice thing about these is Momo hubs are easily available and a couple of bucks cheaper

Nice wheel! And a step away from traditional. I'm looking for something a bit more comfortable without looking to racey. Unfortunately the wheel I like isn't available.

Perhaps because of the "Collapsible center section" ? (Which is shown in the photo?)

I've tried for years to make sense of the Nardi listings. The info is sketchy and conflicting at times.

Cheers

These remind me of the Lister XJS wheels.. very cool. I'm partial to the brown (as long as that matches the seats &#128521

Perhaps. Funny enough, I just received an email from Crowder's, Nardi's supplier that they've a shipment on the way with the original part number 4302.14.2202.

Default Bad choice !

But will look good with your Crager mags & Carbon Fibre dash.

I may be going with Moto Lita for the steering wheel. I already purchased road wheels, but not Cragers. The carbon fiber dash sounds like a possibility to go with the triple Webers and the 5 speed. No ground effects though.....

Since you have a line of communication, and if the mood strikes, ask if they have any knowledge of two versions of the adapter--long and short.

I've only ever found the long version that puts the steering a bit far away from the column stalks. I'm 99% sure is (or was) a shorter version but my hours of research have been fruitess.

Cheers

See link below re Nardi wheel and correct hub. Still trying to find where I got the Growler horn push - I think it was E-Bay. Will confirm.

I've 2 thoughts from your post:

1) We're now up to 3 Nardi hubs potentially compatible with a 76 XJ, all out of stock:

4302.14.2202; 4370.95.2202; 4323.00.2202F

2) Very nice fitment on your wheel. Loving the black spokes/black dash combo.

That’s my old Ser III from years ago! Maybe Iramphal owns it now!?
