Not start series 2
Hi, i am new owner of xj6 series 2 1978. I buy this car a month ago and its start and running but it make backfire. I decided to make a compession test (dry and wet), i remove all the spurks and the wires. I didnt disconnect the fuel pumb during the test. When i finish the test i put back the wires with wrong firing order and the car didnt start. Then next day i put the wire correct and change the spurks but stil dont start and there is also fuel leak from ezhaust and at AED pipe when i try to start.
Does i made damage?
What i can do to solve the problem?

Welcome to the Forums.
Please do an Intro in the New Members Area when time permits.
You have seriously flooded the beast.
Number the spark plug leads, REMEMBER #1 is at the REAR of that engine.
Remove the spark plugs.
Allow it to dry out, maybe a day or 2, depending on the weather wherever it is you call home.
Then refit the sparkers, and the leads, and see what happens.
These a basic simple engines, but flooding them is simply a time consuming thing to cure. It takes as long as it takes.
Down here we call that time "Beer O'Clock".
